Traps, wastes and connections
Traps, waste outlets and connection parts under the sink, basin and shower — bottle and tubular traps, click-clack wastes, shower gullies and flexible waste pipes. Choose by the diameter of the waste and the pipe. The water seal in the trap keeps drain odours out.
Traps, wastes and connections
Parts that carry water away from the sink, basin, bath and shower and connect them to the drain — bottle and tubular traps, space-saving versions under the sink, waste outlets with a click-clack plug, shower gullies and channels, flexible and rigid waste pipes and connection kits.
Diameter and spacing are what matter — on basins the waste is usually 1¼", on sinks 1½", and waste pipes most often 32 and 40 mm. Choose traps, wastes and connections by the size of the waste outlet, the diameter of the waste pipe and how much room you have under the basin or in the cabinet.
The water seal makes it work — the water that stays permanently in the trap stops odours from the drain pipe rising. If you do not use the outlet for a while, the water evaporates and the smell appears; simply top it up.
Traps under the sink often have a spigot for a dishwasher or washing machine; it stays closed until the appliance is connected. When fitting, do not forget the seals, tighten plastic joints by hand and, after filling with water, check that nothing drips anywhere.
The trap can be taken apart and cleaned — deposits and hair are the most common cause of a slow drain. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions, which also apply to sizes, seals and cleaning.
How we rank results
We determine the order of offers in search results and in category listings automatically, according to the rules below. No seller is given priority in the ranking, and it is not possible to pay us for a better position.
Search (default sorting “Relevance”): we show offers that match the search term, including those with a small deviation or only a partial match. Their order depends most on how popular the offer is with customers. If you have accepted cookies, the next biggest factor is which categories and offer attributes you have viewed during your current visit. It also matters how popular the offer is for that search term, how closely it matches the term and how popular its category is for that term.
Categories (default sorting “Best Sellers”): the offers that sell the most appear at the top.
Sorting by price: if you choose Price: Low to High or Price: High to Low, we sort by price including VAT only.
