Bikes

You’ll find kids’ bikes with stabilisers, mountain bikes, fatbikes and BMX bikes in sizes from 12 to 26 inches. Smaller models have a chain guard, larger ones usually gears and disc or rim brakes. The rider’s height and age matter most when choosing.

Bikes

For the youngest there are kids’ bikes with stabilisers from 12 to 18 inches, for children aged roughly 2 to 9. The stabilisers can be removed once your child can balance. The chain is covered and most models combine a hand brake with a coaster brake. Some have a front basket, and the girls’ models also a doll seat.

For off-road riding there are mountain bikes for children in 20 or 24 inches, usually with 7 gears. Some have a suspension fork and disc brakes. Fatbikes with wide tyres, 7 gears and disc brakes come in 20 inches for children from age 5 and 26 inches for teenagers and shorter adults.

For tricks at the skatepark there are BMX bikes with a steel frame in 20 or 24 inches, usually for children aged 6 to 14. They have pegs, and some a 360° rotor system. The bikes arrive pre-assembled and need finishing before the first ride. Choose the size by your child’s height, not just age. We recommend a helmet, pads for BMX and adult supervision for younger children.
