Garden Fabric

Using textiles when growing helps stabilise soil conditions and protect plants from external influences. Garden textiles include materials suitable for covering beds, limiting weeds and protecting against unfavourable weather.

Among the most commonly used are non-woven fabrics, which serve as protection against cold, wind and pests. At the same time they let through light, air and water, so plants can grow naturally without the need for frequent uncovering. They are used especially when pre-growing or protecting more delicate varieties.

Another option is mulching films and fabrics, which are laid on the soil and help limit weed growth. They retain moisture in the soil and at the same time improve the temperature conditions for the root system. They are often used on beds, under shrubs or when growing vegetables.

For covering larger areas or protecting equipment, cover sheets are used, protecting against rain, wind and dirt. When choosing, it is important to consider the density of the material, its permeability and the specific purpose of use, so that the textile fulfils the required function and lasts for long-term use.
