Wax Seals & Stamps
The traditional way of decorating letters and documents still has its place today. Sealing stamps and waxes are used to create original impressions that give envelopes, invitations or parcels a distinctive look. They differ in the shape of the die, the colour of the wax and the way they are used.
Wax Seals & Stamps
Sealing has a long tradition and today is used mainly as a decorative element. Sealing stamps and waxes make it possible to create an original detail on letters, greeting cards or gift wrapping and give them a distinctive character.
The basis is sealing stamps with a die, which determine the final motif of the impression. They are used together with sealing wax, which is heated and then pressed into the required shape. Waxes differ not only in colour but also in hardness and method of application.
The final appearance is influenced by the combination of motif, colour and amount of wax. Finer impressions look discreet, while bolder seals become a dominant feature. Working with the temperature of the wax is also important, as it affects how it spreads and the quality of the impression.
Sealing is used not only for classic correspondence but also when creating invitations or wrapping gifts. Thanks to the various motifs and colour options, the look can easily be adapted to a particular occasion to create a detail that catches the eye at first glance.
