Reading lights
Reading lights illuminate the page of your book without lighting up the whole room. You can choose from clip-on lights with a flexible arm, neck lights with two light heads, flat lights that slide onto the page and light panels that you lay directly on the book. Most charge via USB-C.

Clip-on models attach to the book cover, e-reader, desk or headboard, and the flexible arm, 11.5 to 39.5 cm long, points the light right at the text. They offer three colour temperatures from warm to cool white and stepless dimming. Round lights with an 8.6 cm diameter have a timer that switches the light off after 25 minutes. Versions running on three AAA batteries need no charging.
Neck lights have two flexible or rotating arms with light heads, so your hands stay free for reading, knitting, repairs or camping. Batteries from 800 to 1800 mAh last up to 80 hours, according to the manufacturer. Some models have a small torch at the other end.
For reading before bed, lights with amber or red light without a blue component are designed not to disturb sleep, according to the manufacturer. Flat lights slide onto the page of a book or e-reader, while the light panel with a timer lies directly on the text. Small USB lights with a gooseneck run from a laptop or power bank.
