Chandeliers
A striking chandelier acts as the centrepiece of a room while also serving as the main source of lighting. Options range from classic crystal models with cut drops, through modern designer pieces in metal and glass, to multi-tier versions for high ceilings and smaller two- and three-arm designs. Individual chandeliers differ in material, the number of arms, the type of lamp holders and overall style – from historical replicas to minimalist new designs suited to contemporary homes.
Chandeliers
In living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and entrance halls, chandeliers serve both as a striking design feature and as the main source of lighting. The choice of a particular model depends on the size of the space, the ceiling height and the overall styling of the flat or house. Alongside the aesthetic impression, the number of arms, the type of lamp holder and the overall light output are also important.
Among the most traditional are crystal chandeliers with cut drops, which suit prestigious interiors and dining rooms in a classic style. A modern approach is represented by metal frames with geometric shapes, glass shades or integrated LED panels. For country and rustic interiors, wrought-iron models with candles are made, while simpler black or copper frames suit industrial spaces.
The main factors in the choice are the number of arms and the overall dimensions. Smaller three- and five-arm models work well above smaller dining tables or in bedrooms, while larger multi-tier versions look best in spaces with ceiling heights above three metres. The distance between the lower edge of the fitting and the floor also matters – above a dining table a height of around 70 to 80 centimetres is recommended, and in a living room at least two metres from the floor.
The type of lamp holder and bulb also plays a role. Traditional models use E14 or E27 holders, into which you can fit classic, halogen or energy-saving LED sources with a warm or neutral light tone. Some designs have integrated LED modules with a fixed colour and output, which simplifies operation but limits later replacement.
In terms of style, it is best to match the chandelier with the other elements of the interior – the material of the furniture, the metalwork or the side light sources. For more convenient control, dimmers or remote controls on smart models allow the light intensity to be adjusted to suit the current need. A well-chosen design will grace an interior for decades and gradually becomes a natural part of it.
How we rank results
We determine the order of offers in search results and in category listings automatically, according to the rules below. No seller is given priority in the ranking, and it is not possible to pay us for a better position.
Search (default sorting “Relevance”): what counts is how well an offer matches the search term. Offers that match the term exactly appear at the top, followed by offers with a small deviation (for example a typo) and finally offers that only partly match it.
Categories (default sorting “Best Sellers”): the offers that sell the most appear at the top.
Sorting by price: if you choose Price: Low to High or Price: High to Low, we sort by price including VAT only.
