Children's musical instruments
Music helps children develop a sense of rhythm and fine motor skills while making play more fun. Choose from xylophones, drums, tambourines, rattles, kids' keyboards, guitars and recorders designed for small hands and safe to play with.
Children's musical instruments
For the very youngest, simple percussion instruments such as rattles, egg shakers, tambourines or small drums are ideal. A tap or a shake is all it takes, and the child instantly hears what their movement created, which encourages them to keep exploring.
Older children love xylophones and glockenspiels with coloured bars, on which they can play their first tunes by following colour-coded notes. Kids' keyboards with rhythms and recorded sounds, smaller guitars or ukuleles and recorders can then be the first step towards proper music lessons.
When choosing, it is worth considering the child's age and the manufacturer's recommendation. Good-quality instruments have rounded edges, non-toxic paints and securely attached small parts, and electronic toys often include volume control, which parents appreciate too. Sets with several instruments are perfect for siblings to play together or for nursery use.
