Skateboards and accessories
Cruisers for riding around town, classic skateboards with a kicktail and a small penny board are complete boards ready to ride. Skateboards and accessories also include trucks with wheels and bearings, grip tape, tools and oil for maintenance, carry bags, skate shoes and a children's helmet with a detachable face guard. With them, you can build or repair your own board and keep it in good condition.

Cruisers around 78 to 84 cm long are designed for riding around town, on pavements and on cycle paths. They are complete boards with two trucks and four wheels, which differ mainly in deck shape and graphics. Some have non-slip grip and 70 mm wheels, others a raised tail that makes turning on the spot easier. The wide, rounded nose gives enough room for both feet.
Classic skateboards are 76 to 79 cm long and have a multi-layer wooden deck with a kicktail, a raised tail end. It makes turning on the spot and lifting the front easier. The top of the deck is covered with non-slip grip and the underside has a colourful print. A smaller option is the 56 cm penny board with a textured plastic deck, aluminium trucks and wheels that light up while riding. It has a maximum load of 75 kg.
For building or repairing a board, there are 6.25-inch CX4 trucks, supplied as a set with four wheels, bearings, risers and screws. The risers increase the gap between the deck and the wheels. Self-adhesive grip tape measuring 80 × 20 or 82 × 21 cm is stuck onto a new or worn deck to keep the feet in place. The rubber cleaner removes dirt from the grip, the T-tool with socket wrenches and an Allen key is used to tighten wheels and trucks, and the oil with a needle applicator to lubricate the bearings.
For carrying, there is a shoulder bag made of 600 D Oxford fabric with a mesh pocket and a waterproof cover. There are also skate shoes made of rubber, EVA and mesh and a children's helmet with a 52 to 56 cm head circumference and a detachable full-face guard.
When choosing skateboards and accessories, it helps to think about where you will ride. For getting around town and longer routes on cycle paths, a longer cruiser is a good fit, for turning on the spot and practising basic moves a deck with a kicktail, and for short distances the smaller penny board. With replacement trucks, it is worth checking that their width matches the width of the deck.
