Instantaneous water heaters
Instantaneous water heaters heat the water only when you turn on the tap, so they need no storage tank. Choose by power rating, the number of draw-off points and the flow rate you need. Leave the electrical and gas connection to a professional, in line with the applicable regulations.
Instantaneous water heaters
Heaters that warm the water only at the moment of use — it passes through a heating element or a heat exchanger and hot water arrives almost immediately. They have no tank, so they take up little space and do not keep water hot needlessly; they are made in electric and gas versions.
The types of heater differ in power rating and in the way they heat — small open-outlet (vented) units under the basin for a single draw-off point, unvented (pressurised) units for several outlets and gas units with flue gas extraction. Choose instantaneous water heaters by the power rating, the number of draw-off points and the flow rate you need at the desired temperature.
The minimum flow rate for switching on and sufficient pressure in the system are important — below that value the heater will not start. The temperature of the incoming water also matters: in winter it is colder, so at the same power rating you will get a lower hot water flow.
Electric models often have a high power rating and require their own protected circuit and a suitable conductor cross-section; leave the connection to a qualified electrician. Have gas appliances installed and commissioned by an authorised person and ensure flue gas extraction and ventilation in line with the regulations.
Never run the heater without water and, with hard water, expect limescale to build up; some manufacturers recommend a filter or regular descaling. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions and the applicable regulations for electrical and gas installation.
How we rank results
We determine the order of offers in search results and in category listings automatically, according to the rules below. No seller is given priority in the ranking, and it is not possible to pay us for a better position.
Search (default sorting “Relevance”): what counts is how well an offer matches the search term. Offers that match the term exactly appear at the top, followed by offers with a small deviation (for example a typo) and finally offers that only partly match it.
Categories (default sorting “Best Sellers”): the offers that sell the most appear at the top.
Sorting by price: if you choose Price: Low to High or Price: High to Low, we sort by price including VAT only.
