The packet contains 10 g of black powdered dye, which is mixed in hot water and is used for dyeing garments as well as for home tie-dyeing. The dye is intended for cotton, linen, denim, canvas, modal, and viscose, which are natural fibres that make up most of the typical wardrobe. The pigment adheres well to the fabric and retains its colour even after washing and wearing, making it suitable for renovating faded items. The best results are achieved by dyeing at high temperatures, where the colour penetrates deeper into the fibre and the dyeing is more even. The smaller package is suitable for one piece of clothing or for small hand projects where a large supply is not needed.

Features:

  • Powdered dye 10 g — pour the powder into water at temperature 85 to 100 °C and stir until completely dissolved.
  • Dyeing at high temperatures — higher temperature helps the dye penetrate the fibre, resulting in a more even outcome than in lukewarm water.
  • Suitable materials — cotton, linen, denim, canvas, modal, and viscose, which are commonly used at home.
  • Unsuitable materials — wool, silk, polyester, chiffon, and other synthetic fibres, on which the dye does not adhere, so please check the composition of the item on the label.

Dyeing is straightforward: mix the powder in hot water, immerse the garment for approximately 30 minutes, and turn it every three minutes to ensure even dyeing. Then rinse the item two to three times in water and let it air dry. You will achieve the best result when dyeing one garment at a time and repeat the dyeing as needed. The 10 g packet will cover typical items such as t-shirts, shorts, or thin shirts and will also be useful for hand projects with paper and dried flowers.
