The packet contains 20 g of black powdered dye, which is mixed in hot water and is used for dyeing garments as well as for home tie-dyeing. The dye is intended for cotton, linen, denim, canvas, modal, and viscose, which are natural fibres commonly used at home. The pigment adheres well to the fabric and retains its colour even after washing and wearing, making it suitable for restoring faded items. The best results are achieved at high temperatures, allowing the dye to penetrate deeper into the fibre for an even colouration. The process can be managed by both beginners and experienced crafters, as it only requires a pot, hot water, and approximately half an hour for the dyeing itself.

Features:

  • Powdered dye 20 g — pour the powder into water at a temperature of 85 to 100 °C and stir thoroughly until it completely dissolves.
  • High-temperature dyeing — higher temperatures help the dye penetrate the fibre, resulting in a more even outcome than dyeing in lukewarm water.
  • Suitable materials — cotton, linen, denim, canvas, modal, and viscose, which are natural and viscose fibres used in most everyday clothing.
  • Unsuitable materials — wool, silk, polyester, chiffon, and other synthetic fibres, on which the dye does not adhere, so please check the composition of the item beforehand on the label.
  • Washing resistance — the pigment adheres well to the fabric and the colour remains intact even after washing and regular wear, ensuring that the result lasts longer than a surface coating.
  • Non-toxic composition — the dye is safe for home use, including on clothing, paper, plastic, or dried flowers.
  • Tone regulation — the more water you use, the lighter the result will be, allowing you to determine the intensity based on the ratio of dye to water.
  • For tie-dyeing and restoration — suitable for tie-dye patterns, colour unification, and revitalising older pieces from your wardrobe.
  • Repeated dyeing — if you desire a darker result, simply repeat the process with the same item.

Dyeing is straightforward: mix the powder in hot water, submerge the garment for approximately 30 minutes, and turn it every three minutes to ensure even dyeing. Then rinse the item two to three times in water and let it air dry. The best result is achieved when dyeing one garment at a time and repeating the dyeing as needed. The 20 g packet will cover typical items such as t-shirts, shorts, or thin shirts, and can also be used for handmade projects with paper and dried flowers. Black is a practical choice for covering stains and for unifying unevenly faded clothing.
