Overview
Wide Wood Chisel 32 mm with Flat Blade 110 mm Made of Chrome-Vanadium Steel and Handle with Through Tenon for Leveling Surfaces and Beams

The wide flat wood chisel with a blade width of 32 mm is a tool for larger surfaces and substantial joints. The flat blade with a length of 110 mm is bevelled on one side, allowing it to stabilise well on wood and helping to create a flat bottom for mortises and smooth joints. The wide blade removes more material at once and speeds up the leveling of surfaces, aligning tenons, or adjusting beams and blocks. It is useful in carpentry, joinery, and during the renovation of older wooden elements. The chisel is sold separately, so you can acquire exactly the width you need in your workshop.

The blade is made from chrome-vanadium steel, a popular material for hand tools. The tenon of the blade runs the entire length of the handle and is finished with a metal butt, which absorbs the impact of the mallet and protects the handle from damage. The handle measures 125 mm, has an ergonomic shape, and a TPR non-slip surface, ensuring a secure grip even when working with gloves. The striking orange colour complemented by black elements helps to quickly locate the tool in the workshop or on the construction site. The longer blade along with the wide edge provides sufficient support, ensuring that the chisel does not tip over when leveling surfaces and is guided evenly across its width.

When working with the wide chisel, it is important to have the workpiece securely clamped, as the blade acts on a larger area. For rough removal, use strikes from a mallet and ensure that you only remove a thin layer at a time. For fine leveling of the surface, guide the chisel by hand with slight pressure and hold the edge at an angle to the grain. Always direct the blade away from your body. After use, clean the chisel of sawdust and resin, wipe it dry, and regularly hone the edge on a sharpening stone.

The flat chisel 32 mm will complement a set of narrower chisels with a tool for quick work on larger surfaces. The durable steel blade and comfortable handle with a metal butt can handle manual guidance as well as work with a mallet. Weighing 250 g, the chisel is well balanced and does not snag when leveling. It will be useful in constructing pergolas, gazebos, and roofs, in furniture making, and in repairing floors and stairs. The wide blade will shorten the time needed for finishing large joints and fittings. It will be appreciated by DIY enthusiasts, carpenters, and joiners.
