The metal hood with ventilation openings fits lenses with a filter thread of 67 mm and shields the front lens from light coming in from the side. Images taken against the light or in bright sunlight appear more contrasted and have less glare and haze. Attachment is straightforward, as the hood screws into the thread on the front of the lens without the need for an additional adapter. The package also includes a lens cap that protects the front lens during transport.
The hood is made of metal with a black finish, and features longitudinal openings like traditional ventilated hoods. According to the manufacturer, you can still use the lens cap and filter with the hood attached, so you don’t need to swap them out while shooting. The cap has two grips operated by pressing in the middle, allowing you to attach and remove it with one hand. It is suitable for photographing nature, architecture, sports events, and outdoor portraits.
The hood is beneficial year-round. It is useful in snowy mountains, by the sea or lake, and anywhere shiny surfaces reflect a lot of light. In the city at dusk, it reduces glare from lamps, shop windows, and other point light sources. With the hood attached, the front lens is also better protected from unwanted contact.

Before attaching the hood, ensure the lens thread is free from dust and screw the hood on gently without excessive force. The metal body of the hood can be wiped occasionally with a dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth. Before storing the camera, attach the cap to prevent dust from settling on the front lens and scratching it.

- We will settle your claim within 30 days at the latest – with a new item, a price reduction or a refund.
If the goods need to be sent back, we will refund the postage for a valid claim (just provide the receipt).

If the variant is available, we will send you instructions for the exchange. You pay the cost of sending the original item back; the new variant will be sent to you at no further charge.
