The germicidal lamp works with ultraviolet light, which acts on surfaces as well as on the air in enclosed spaces. The source of radiation is a type T5 quartz tube with a round cross-section, the same format you know from narrow fluorescent light fixtures. The 8 W variant measures 310 mm, which is the longer of the two available sizes and is suitable for larger rooms. The tube connects with a cable that has its own switch and plug into a standard 220 V socket, so installation does not require interference with the electrical system. Metal brackets and screws, which are included in the delivery, are used for mounting.

The longer tube is suitable for living rooms, offices, warehouses or surgeries, where there is a larger area to treat. Plan the operation for when the space is empty, such as overnight or when no one is at home. Ultraviolet radiation must not come into contact with people or animals, so do not enter the room during the cycle and do not look at the glowing tube. After the sterilisation is complete, ventilate the space and only then continue to use it. Plants and items sensitive to UV radiation should be removed from the lamp's reach.
