The TTC Frozen V2 silent linear switches are designed for mechanical keyboards where you desire smooth operation without a tactile bump and the quietest keystrokes possible. This is the second generation of the Frozen model, which features both upper and lower housings made of transparent plastic, along with a white-silver spring and contact leaf inside. The switches have 3 pins and an MX type cross stem, allowing you to use standard keycaps. The actuation force is only 39 gf, making it easy to press the keys, and your fingers won’t tire as much even during extended typing sessions. The set includes 80 switches, enough to equip a keyboard with up to eighty keys.

Sound dampening is provided by a ring on the stem and a pad at the bottom of the switch, which reduces the impact of the key when pressed and when it returns to its resting position. The transparent housing, along with the light guide inside the switch, allows the RGB backlighting of the keyboard to shine through, diffusing light throughout the entire key. The pre-travel distance is 2.0 mm and the total travel distance is 3.5 mm, resulting in a short and consistent actuation throughout the length. The manufacturer claims a lifespan of 50 million keystrokes, ensuring that the switches can withstand intense daily typing and gaming.

Before replacing, ensure that your keyboard supports MX type switches with 3 pins, whether in hot-swap sockets or soldered onto the board. Before inserting, check that the pins are not bent, and if necessary, straighten them carefully. Insert the switch perpendicularly and without excessive force to avoid bending or breaking the pins. Place the keycaps straight onto the cross stem and use a suitable puller when removing them. Until you install the switches in the keyboard, store them in a dry place and protect them from dust.

The TTC Frozen V2 switches are suitable for typing in the office, in shared spaces, or at home when you want to avoid disturbing others with loud clicking.
