The takoyaki pan is a practical helper for anyone who wants to prepare their favourite Japanese octopus balls or other fillings at home. The square mould offers 16 wells with a diameter of 3.5 cm, allowing you to cook a whole batch of evenly sized balls at once. The pan is made from cast aluminium, which is sturdy and suitable for regular baking. In addition to takoyaki, it is also suitable for round pancakes, mini pancakes, sweet dough balls, or small portions of eggs. Thanks to the long handle, you can comfortably manipulate it directly over the stove.
The mould has a width of 15.5 cm and the total length of the pan including the handle is 32.5 cm. The wall thickness of the mould is 0.32 cm, making it solid and well-shaped. The non-stick surface makes it easy to turn the balls and remove them from the mould, and after cooking, the pan is easy to clean. The handle is shaped for a good grip, and there is a hole at the end for hanging. You can heat the pan directly on a gas or electric stove. Before the first use, wash the pan with warm water and dry it. Lightly grease the wells with oil before each cooking, pour in the batter, add the filling, and gradually turn the balls with the skewer until they are golden brown on all sides. Use wooden or silicone utensils on the non-stick surface to avoid scratching. After cooling, wash the pan by hand with a soft sponge and mild detergent, dry it thoroughly, and store it in a dry place. Thanks to the hole in the handle, you can hang it on a hook in the kitchen.
