The sprouter stand is a practical helper for anyone growing sprouts at home in a preserving jar with a strainer. It holds the jar at an angle with the neck down, allowing water to freely drain after rinsing the seeds, ensuring that air reaches the sprouts. The stand measures 9 x 12 cm and takes up little space on the kitchen counter. The angle is adjustable using two screw knobs on the sides of the structure. During sprouting, it is important that the seeds do not remain in water after each rinse. The jar stands stably on the stand, and you do not need to prop it against a bowl or dish drainer. Simply place a small plate or towel under the jar's neck to catch the last drops of water. Thanks to the adjustable angle, you can customise the angle to suit the size of the jar and the amount of sprouts. You will appreciate the stand when growing beans, broccoli, alfalfa, and other seeds that require rinsing several times a day. If you are sprouting multiple types of seeds at once, you can prepare several stands and place the jars side by side. The process is simple. Soak the seeds in the preserving jar with water. Screw on the sprouting lid with the strainer, drain the water, and place the jar neck down into the stand. After a few hours, rinse the seeds again and return the jar. After use, simply wipe the stand with a damp cloth and let it dry. When not in use, store it in a cupboard or drawer among other kitchen utensils. Place the jar with sprouts in a location away from direct sunlight, where it will receive good ventilation. This way, water will drain more reliably from the sprouts, and the shoots will remain fresh until harvest, which for most seeds occurs within a few days.
