The SHAHE 5114 digital depth gauge with a longer probe measures the depth of holes, grooves, notches, and fittings up to 50 mm. This allows it to not only check the tread of tyres but also measure deeper holes and recesses when working with metal, wood, or plastic. The result is displayed on an LCD screen with a resolution of 0.01 mm, eliminating the need for tedious readings from a scale. The measuring probe is thin and round, allowing it to access narrow holes and grooves. The cross base rests on the surface of the workpiece or tyre, and the probe extends down to the bottom.
Inside, a capacitive sensor with a glass grid tracks the movement of the probe at speeds up to 3 m/s, achieving an accuracy of ±0.02 mm. The ON/OFF button is used to turn it on, ZERO sets the zero point at any position, and in/mm switches between millimetres and inches. The locking screw secures the extended probe, allowing you to read the measured depth even away from the measuring point. The back of the body features a conversion table from fractions of an inch to decimal numbers.

When measuring, place the base on a flat surface around the hole or across the groove of the tread, extend the probe down to the bottom, and read the value on the display. By zeroing on a reference surface, you can easily measure the height difference between two fittings. After use, wipe the gauge with a dry cloth, do not expose it to water, and store it in the supplied case. The round battery cover on the front of the body opens by twisting.

If the goods need to be sent back, we will refund the postage for a valid claim (just provide the receipt).
