The SHAHE 5114 Digital Depth Gauge is a compact measuring instrument for quick and accurate determination of tyre tread depth, grooves, holes, and seating. The measuring range 0–25 mm covers the usual checks for wear on passenger car, motorcycle, and trailer tyres, and is equally useful in a workshop for metalworking. The measured value is displayed on an LCD screen with a resolution of 0.01 mm, making it easy to read even for beginners. Measurement is performed using a thin round probe that extends from the transverse base. Simply place the base on the surface of the tyre or workpiece and insert the probe down to the bottom of the measured area.
The capacitive sensor with a glass grid records the movement of the probe even at speeds of up to 3 m/s, and the gauge operates with an accuracy of ±0.02 mm. Use the ON/OFF button to turn the gauge on, the ZERO button to reset the display at any position, and the in/mm button to switch the display between millimetres and inches. The locking screw secures the probe in the measured position, allowing you to calmly read the value even after removing the gauge from the groove. On the back of the body, there is a conversion table for fractions of an inch to decimal numbers.

To measure tread depth, place the base perpendicular across the groove of the tyre, extend the probe down to the bottom of the groove, and read the value on the display. In the same way, you can measure the depth of blind holes, notches, grooves for pins, or the height of seating. After use, wipe the gauge with a dry cloth, protect it from water, and store it in the supplied case. You can replace the battery by unscrewing the round cover on the front of the body.

If the goods need to be sent back, we will refund the postage for a valid claim (just provide the receipt).
