The SHAHE 5113 digital depth gauge in its longest version offers the largest measuring range of this series, namely 0 to 300 mm, and its stainless steel bar is fitted with one hook at the end. Thanks to the hook, it measures not only the depth of holes but also the distance from the bottom edge of the indentation, groove, or fitting to the surface on which the base stands. The cross base with a length of 100 mm keeps the bar perpendicular to the surface even when measuring at greater depths. The value is displayed on an LCD screen with a resolution of 0.01 mm, with the option to switch to inches. Both the body and the bar are made of stainless steel.

The long bar is useful for large workpieces, deep pockets, and high fittings in engineering, toolmaking, maintenance, and batch production. The manufacturer states an accuracy of ±0.04 mm for the length of 300 mm. The movement of the bar is detected by a capacitive sensor with a glass measuring grid. The ZERO button allows you to reset the display at any position and measure the difference between two levels directly. The locking screw secures the bar, allowing you to comfortably read the measured value even away from the workpiece, and the inch wheel is used for fine adjustment. Under the cover on the top of the unit is a data connector.

Insert the CR2032 battery under the rotating cover on the front of the display unit. Before measuring, clean the base and hook of shavings and oil; otherwise, the result may be distorted. Protect the long bar and hook from falling, impact, and bending. After use, turn off the depth gauge, wipe it with a dry cloth, and store it in the case in a dry place away from strong magnetic fields. When storing for an extended period, remove the battery from the compartment.

The SHAHE 5113 with a range of 300 mm is an excellent choice for anyone needing to measure deep shapes while also utilising the hook at the end of the bar.
