Set of 2 Lens Caps 55 mm K&F Concept with Central Press and 2 Loss Prevention Strings Without Spring For Canon Nikon Sony and Fuji

The set includes 2 front lens caps from K&F Concept for lenses with a thread diameter of 55 mm. Each cap protects the front lens from dust, fingerprints, and scratches during transport and storage of the camera in a bag. They are applied and removed by pressing two grips in the centre, making them easy to use even when a lens hood is attached to the lens. Each cap comes with its own orange loss prevention string, so you will find 2 complete sets in the package. The set is suitable for two lenses with the same thread diameter or as a replacement in case one cap is lost.

The manufacturer has used a springless design for the cap. Instead of a metal spring that weakens over time, the cap is held in the lens thread by flexible plastic grips that retract when the centre is pressed and return to their original position when released. This design reduces issues with aging and mechanism failure. There is a hole for attaching the string on the edge of the cap, which you can then secure to the lens or camera. This way, the cap remains hanging by the lens after removal, allowing you to continue shooting immediately without having to set it down or search for it in your pockets.

You can easily determine the correct size. The thread diameter is usually indicated on the front of the lens or on its side next to the symbol Φ, or on the original cap. This set is designed for a value of 55 mm. The cap is applied directly to the thread on the front of the lens, just like a filter or a threaded lens hood. Before applying, it is advisable to wipe the edge of the lens to remove dust and then store the cap in a way that prevents dirt from getting onto its inner side. You can remove the string at any time if you do not need it. The cap only needs to be wiped occasionally with a dry or slightly damp cloth to prevent dust from transferring to the lens.
