Overview
Ring Stretching Set Tapered Mandrel 16.5 to 24 mm Tapered Rod 132 mm and Ring Metal Jewellery Tool

The ring stretching set is a jewellery tool for adjusting rings that are too tight on the finger. The core of the set is a tapered mandrel with seven steps ranging from 16.5 to 24 mm in diameter, complemented by a tapered rod and a ring. All parts are made of metal and have precisely crafted shapes. The set is suitable for goldsmiths, jewellery makers, and DIY enthusiasts who wish to adjust rings themselves. The individual steps of the mandrel have a diameter of 16.5 to 24 mm, covering the common sizes of rings. It is easy to see on the mandrel which step the ring sits on.

The tapered rod has a length of 132 mm and a diameter of 15 mm at the base, the tapered mandrel is 96 mm high, and the ring has a diameter of 25 mm and a height of 22 mm. The parts fit together and form a compact set that can be easily stored in a desk drawer. The lower ends of the mandrel and rod are knurled, making them easy to hold in hand. The set is useful for stretching and shaping band rings as well as for straightening them.

  • Tapered mandrel – height 96 mm and 7 steps with diameters of 16.5 mm, 17.5 mm, 18.5 mm, 20 mm, 21.5 mm, 22.5 mm, and 24 mm
  • Tapered rod – length 132 mm and diameter at the base 15 mm
  • Ring – diameter 25 mm and height 22 mm
  • Material – metal
  • Finish – knurled lower end of the mandrel and rod for a secure grip
  • Usage – stretching and shaping rings, jewellery workshop, making and repairing jewellery
  • Suitable for – goldsmiths, jewellery workshops, jewellery makers, and home DIY enthusiasts
  • Contents of the package – tapered mandrel, tapered rod, and ring

Before making adjustments, determine which step of the mandrel the ring sits on, and work gradually in small increments. Smooth bands without stones are easiest to adjust. If you need to increase the ring size by several sizes, divide the adjustment into several steps and try the ring on your finger in between. This way, you can easily determine when the size is correct, preventing the ring from being over-stretched. For rings with stones, engraving, or very thin bands, we recommend increased caution. After use, wipe the parts with a dry cloth and store them in a dry place to keep them clean.

The ring stretching set offers a tapered mandrel, tapered rod, and ring in one package. The seven steps from 16.5 to 24 mm facilitate size orientation and allow for gradual adjustment of the ring. The metal parts are durable and withstand repeated use in the workshop or at home. The set is suitable for adjusting ring sizes as well as for jewellery making. It is a practical jewellery tool that fits into any workshop.
