Outemu Silent Peach V3 quiet linear switches are designed for mechanical keyboards where you want a smooth operation without a tactile bump and minimal noise while typing. This is an improved third generation of the Silent Peach model with reinforced pins that are less prone to bending or breaking. The switches feature 5 pins and can be inserted into standard hot-swap sockets or soldered. Inside, there is a new silicone dampening strip that ensures the sound of the keystroke does not exceed 35 dB. The package contains 10 switches, which is suitable for trying out the typing feel or for replacing several frequently used keys, such as the spacebar and WASD keys.
The switch has a stem made of POM and a translucent upper and lower housing made of PA66, which, thanks to the light guide with a transmittance of 95 %, allows the RGB backlighting of the keyboard to shine through. The switches are factory lubricated, so the operation is smooth right out of the box and no further adjustments are necessary. An extended spring of 21 mm ensures a quick return of the key to its original position, and the dust wall inside the housing increases stability compared to the previous version, with the manufacturer claiming a lifespan of 50 million keystrokes. The new dampening material absorbs sound well, but the operation is slightly stiffer than in the older version.

Before replacing, ensure that the keyboard has hot-swap sockets with holes for the switch pins, as they are not compatible with socket types that use a clamp. The pins are thicker than those of older Outemu switches, so they may not fit into the silver hot-swap sockets of Outemu. Before inserting into the keyboard, check that the pins are not bent and, if necessary, straighten them carefully. When replacing, proceed gently and insert the switch vertically to avoid bending the pins.
Outemu Silent Peach V3 switches are suitable for typing in the office, in shared spaces, or at home when you do not want to disturb others with loud clicking. The linear action with an operating force of 40 ± 10 gf is light and even throughout the entire travel without a tactile bump or click. The smaller package is practical if you want to try a new type of switch before equipping your entire keyboard with it. The translucent pink housing with a yellow stem gives the keyboard a striking appearance, and it looks even better with backlighting. Thanks to the factory lubrication and dampening, the switches are ready to use right out of the box.
