ORP Calibration Solution 222 mV Standard Buffer for ORP Meters, 50 ml, Ready to Use, Yellow, for Pools, Aquariums and Hydroponics

The standard ORP calibration solution is used for calibrating and verifying the accuracy of ORP meters and redox electrodes that measure the oxidation-reduction potential of water. The reference value 222 mV is established at a temperature of 25 °C. This allows you to reliably set the device to a known value and measure more accurately. The solution is supplied ready for immediate use, so it does not need to be diluted or otherwise adjusted. You will use it for measuring ORP in pools, aquariums, hydroponics, laboratories, and for home water testing.

Regular calibration of the ORP meter is important for reliable measurement of the oxidation-reduction potential, for example, when checking the disinfection of pool water or the quality of water in an aquarium. If you measure at a temperature other than 25 °C, refer to the corresponding value from the chart on the label, such as 227 mV at 20 °C or 215 mV at 30 °C. Before each calibration, rinse the electrode thoroughly to prevent contamination of the solution with residues from the previous measurement. After use, carefully close the bottle to keep the solution clean and usable for next time. The volume of 50 ml is sufficient for repeated calibration at home, in hobby growing, or in the laboratory.
