The nest box with Wi-Fi camera is a larger version of a wooden bird box, offering birds more space for nest building. It measures 14 x 14 x 22.5 cm and has an entrance hole with a diameter of 40 mm, suitable for medium-sized bird species. Hidden under the pitched roof is a 4 MP camera that captures the entire nest from above. The live feed is transmitted via Wi-Fi to the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app on your phone. A side transparent window with a diameter of 40 mm allows natural light into the box.
The lens with a focal length of 2.8 mm and a field of view of 107° is focused at 10 to 20 cm, ensuring that you can see the eggs and chicks clearly and in detail. In darkness, the camera automatically switches to infrared night vision, allowing monitoring to continue even after sunset. The camera includes a microphone, enabling you to hear the birds' calls through the app. Motion detection, 4x digital zoom, and Wi-Fi connectivity in both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands are also available. The camera supports the Onvif standard for connection to an NVR recording device or viewing on a computer.

Two screws included in the package are used for mounting on a tree, facade, or under a roof eave. The roof of the box can be unscrewed with one screw, allowing you to clean the interior after the chicks have fledged. As the camera does not contain a battery, it requires continuous power from an adapter or power bank; a solar panel cannot be directly connected. Video recordings are stored on a microSD memory card, and live monitoring is possible even without a card.
This spacious box with a 40 mm entrance hole is designed for medium-sized birds that need a larger entrance and more space inside.
