Overview
Narrow Chisel 8 mm with Flat Blade 100 mm Long Made of Chrome-Vanadium Steel and Ergonomic TPR Handle for Carving and Chiselling

The chisel with a blade width of 8 mm is designed for precise woodwork, where it is necessary to create a narrow mortise, groove for fittings, or adjust the dimensions of a tenon. The flat blade, 100 mm long, allows for work in deeper holes while remaining easy to control. The edge is bevelled on one side, allowing it to be guided precisely along the marked line, creating straight walls of the mortise. This tool is appreciated by carpenters, joiners, modellers, and DIY enthusiasts who repair furniture or create their own wooden products. The chisel is sold individually, so you can easily supplement just the width you are missing in your workshop.

The blade is made of chrome-vanadium steel, a material commonly used in hand tools. The handle, 125 mm long, has an ergonomic shape and a rubberised TPR surface, which ensures a good grip even during prolonged use. A metal pin runs through the entire handle and is finished with a metal butt, allowing the chisel to be struck with a mallet without worry. The handle is orange with black elements, making it easy to find among other tools. The overall length of the tool is 245 mm, which is a comfortable size for one-handed operation as well as for use with a mallet.

Before starting work, mark the lines and secure the workpiece in a vice or clamp to prevent it from moving during striking. Make rough cuts gradually in smaller layers and with the help of a mallet; the final finishing of the walls and bottom of the mortise can then be achieved with just hand pressure. Clean the edge after use, dry it, and sharpen it on a whetstone as needed. Store the chisel so that the blade does not come into contact with other tools.

The 8 mm chisel is among the most commonly used widths for the production and repair of wooden structures, as it is narrow enough for precise details yet strong enough for use with a mallet. It combines a blade made of high-quality tool steel with a handle that comfortably fits in the hand. Weighing 151 g, it is lightweight and well-balanced, allowing for extended use. It is useful in furniture construction, fitting hinges and locks, as well as in carving projects. It is suitable for both professional workshops and home tool sets.
