Montessori Busy Board with Zebra, Monkey and Cow Wooden Lacing Piece with Removable Animals Fine Motor Skills Toy
You already have the maximum available quantity in your cart.
This wooden board with animals from the savannah and farm is designed as an additional element for a home busy board. On a light background, there are three pieces – zebra, monkey and cow – set in cut-outs according to their shape. Each animal is threaded with a string that keeps it attached to the board, so the pieces won’t get lost during play. The child's task is to remove the animal, examine it, and return it to the cut-out of the correct shape. This game supports fine motor skills, spatial imagination, and concentration in line with Montessori principles.
The board has two mounting holes on the sides, allowing you to attach it to your own active board, wooden base, or the wall of a children's corner. It is made up of several layers of wood, which is clearly visible on the edge of the board. The striped zebra, brown monkey, and orange cow have different outlines, helping the child gradually learn how to rotate the piece to fit.
The piece can be complemented with other busy board elements, such as locks, switches, sliders, or gears, creating a vibrant board with various types of movements. During play, there is a natural opportunity to name the animals with the child, imitate their sounds, and talk about where they live. The strings also offer a simple activity of pulling and threading. Since the pieces are still attached, the child can repeat the game independently without parents needing to search for lost pieces under furniture. The board can be placed horizontally in line with other elements or independently on a smaller board.
- Type – lacing piece for a busy board with removable animals
- Motifs – zebra, monkey and cow
- Material – layered wood with printing and strings
- Activities – removing and returning pieces to cut-outs and working with strings
- Mounting – two holes on the sides for screwing
- Usage – active board for children, Montessori corner and playroom
- Contents – 1 wooden board with a zebra, monkey and cow on strings
Wipe the surface of the board with a dry or slightly damp cloth and do not leave the piece in a damp environment. When assembling, use screws of appropriate length and check that the board is securely attached after fixing. Small children should play under adult supervision.
The board with the zebra, monkey and cow brings a shape game to the home busy board that children enjoy repeating. While inserting the pieces, they practice grasping and rotating small objects and learn to recognise outlines. The cheerful animal pictures add a colourful accent to the active board, and mounting with two screws can be managed by any parent. The piece is suitable for a new active board or as an extension of an existing one. It also makes a nice small gift for parents who are planning a busy board for their child.
