The MJ-TECH M14 thermal paste in a 4 g syringe, along with the silicone paste cleaner and spatula, forms a practical kit for home computer maintenance. The thermal conductivity of 14.8 W/m.K is among the higher values offered by MJ-TECH and is suitable for more powerful processors and graphics cards. The paste fills small irregularities between the chip and the base of the cooler, where otherwise air would remain, which conducts heat very poorly. Four grams of paste is sufficient for multiple applications, so the remainder can be used on another device or during the next maintenance. The cleaner in a bottle with a dispensing tip prepares the surface for a new layer.
The manufacturer states that the M14 paste has a thermal resistance of 0.03 °C·cm²/W and a density of 2.6 g/cm³. The grey paste is electrically insulating, with an insulation strength of at least 8 kV/mm, so a small amount next to the chip will not cause a short circuit. The operating temperature range of -50 to 200 °C covers long gaming sessions, video editing, and computational loads. The kit is applicable for desktop gaming computers, laptops that overheat after years of use, and the PS5 gaming console. After removing the cooler, first wipe off the coarse remnants of the old paste with a dry paper towel. Then apply a little cleaner to a cloth and wipe both the processor and the base of the cooler until they are clean and dry. Squeeze a small drop of paste from the syringe onto the centre of the chip and spread it in a thin layer with the spatula; the manufacturer recommends approximately 0.1 mm. Place the cooler on top and gradually tighten the screws in a cross pattern. Replace the cap on the syringe and store the kit in a dry and cool place.
The MJ-TECH M14 4 g thermal paste with cleaner is a balanced kit for anyone who maintains their computer or console themselves. It combines high thermal conductivity, low thermal resistance, and resistance up to 200 °C. With the cleaner and spatula, you do not need any additional products to replace the paste.
