The MJ-TECH M14 thermal paste in a small syringe containing 1 g of paste is a more powerful variant of the MJ-TECH range designed for demanding processors and graphics chips. The thermal conductivity of 14.8 W/m.K helps to quickly dissipate heat from the chip to the cooler, keeping temperatures under control even under higher loads. The paste fills microscopic irregularities between the two surfaces, where otherwise air would remain. One gram is practical for a one-time application of paste on one processor or one graphics card. The syringe allows for precise dispensing of the paste exactly where it is needed.
The manufacturer states that the M14 paste has a thermal resistance of 0.03 °C·cm²/W and a density of 2.6 g/cm³. A lower thermal resistance means that a thin layer of paste offers little resistance to heat flowing from the chip to the cooler. The paste is electrically insulating with an insulation strength of at least 8 kV/mm, so a small amount outside the chip area will not cause a short circuit. The operating temperature range of -50 to 200 °C covers normal computer operation as well as prolonged loads during gaming or rendering. According to the manufacturer, the paste is intended for high-performance processors, graphics cards, laptops, gaming consoles, and servers. The small packaging is also appreciated when cleaning a laptop from dust, where the original paste under the cooler has already dried out and lost its ability to dissipate heat effectively.

Before application, remove the old paste and clean the surface of the processor and the base of the cooler. Squeeze a small amount of paste onto the centre of the chip and spread it with the spatula in a thin and even layer; the manufacturer recommends a thickness of around 0.1 mm. Then place the cooler on top and tighten it evenly. A layer that is too thick will not improve heat transfer, so it is better to apply it sparingly. With each subsequent removal of the cooler, apply a new layer of paste, as the old one will not seat as well and air gaps may form between the surfaces.
