Before application, remove any residue of old paste and clean the surface of the chip and the base of the cooler. Dispense a small amount of paste onto the centre of the chip and spread it evenly in a thin layer using the spreader; the manufacturer recommends approximately 0.1 mm. Wipe away any excess paste from the edges. Place the cooler and tighten it evenly in a cross pattern.
