The MJ-TECH M12 thermal paste in a syringe with 1 g of paste comes in a set with a cleaner, so you have everything you need for a complete paste replacement. The thermal conductivity of 12.4 W/m.K helps transfer heat from the processor or graphics chip to the cooler, maintaining lower operating temperatures. The package includes a bottle with 5 g of silicone paste cleaner, which removes residues of old dried paste from both the chip and the base of the cooler. One gram of paste is sufficient for a one-time replacement on one processor or one graphics card. The syringe allows for precise application of the paste exactly where it is needed.
The M12 series paste has a thermal resistance of 0.05 °C·cm²/W, a density of 3.0 g/cm³, and a viscosity of 350 Pa·s, according to the manufacturer. Its thicker consistency spreads well with the included spatula. An insulating strength of 10 kV/mm means that the paste is electrically insulating, and a small amount outside the chip area will not cause a short circuit. The manufacturer has tested it with processors up to a TDP of 150 W, making it suitable for office setups, laptops, and mid-range gaming computers. First, wipe off the coarse residues of the old paste, apply a little cleaner to a clean cloth, and thoroughly clean both surfaces with it. Once the surface is dry, squeeze a small amount of new paste onto the centre of the chip. Spread it evenly in a thin layer with the spatula, ideally around 0.1 mm according to the manufacturer. Then, place the cooler on top and tighten it evenly according to its instructions. Store the remaining cleaner for future maintenance, such as cleaning the cooler during the next paste replacement.
