The M.2 SSD dual protocol enclosure accommodates both NVMe and SATA drives, so you don’t have to worry about which type of drive you have on hand. You can turn a drive removed from a laptop or a new SSD into portable storage that connects via USB-C to a computer, laptop, tablet, or phone. With an NVMe drive, it achieves transfer speeds of up to 10 Gb/s thanks to the USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface, while a SATA drive operates at speeds of up to 5 Gb/s. The enclosure supports drives of lengths 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280 with a capacity of up to 4 TB. Its slim body fits easily into a backpack or bag.
The outer casing is made of aluminium with fine longitudinal grooves that help dissipate heat into the environment. Inside the enclosure, there is a thermal aluminium heatsink with a thermal pad that contacts the drive and helps keep its temperature under control even during prolonged copying. The controller supports UASP and TRIM, and an LED indicator shows the drive’s activity. The drive is inserted without tools: the cover slides off, the inner part is extended, the thermal pad with heatsink is placed on the drive, and after insertion, the enclosure is closed again.

Once connected, the enclosure operates as plug and play and requires no drivers. A drive that has not been used yet must first be initialised and formatted in disk management. The USB-C cable on both ends is suitable for modern laptops, tablets, and phones. Clean the surface of the enclosure with a dry cloth, protect it from moisture and falls, and always disconnect the drive using the safe removal of devices.
