The adapter allows an M.2 SATA drive to be used wherever there is space for a standard 2.5-inch drive. The adapter board features an M.2 slot for NGFF drives with a B key and on the opposite side, a standard SATA III 6 Gb/s connector with both data and power sections. Once inserted into the case, it forms a unit in the shape of a standard 2.5-inch drive, which can be slid into a position in a laptop or connected to cables in a desktop. The adapter accommodates drives of lengths 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280, thus handling both short and full-sized modules. It is ideal for repurposing older M.2 SSDs from decommissioned devices or for upgrading a computer without an M.2 slot.
The adapter board has several mounting holes for different drive lengths, and the drive is secured to it with a screw. The completed drive is then enclosed in a plastic case, which protects the electronics from dust and mechanical damage during installation and handling. The case requires no external power or cables, as everything is managed by the computer's SATA connector. The adapter is designed for drives with the M.2 SATA protocol; NVMe drives will not work with it. Therefore, it is advisable to verify what type of drive you have available before purchasing, as the label on the module usually reveals this information.

Installation can be handled by even less experienced users. Simply remove the cover, insert the drive into the M.2 slot, secure it with a screw in the hole corresponding to its length, and close the case again. Before installing the drive, it is advisable to turn off the computer and disconnect it from the power supply. For laptops, it is also good to remove the battery if the design allows it. The case only needs to be wiped occasionally with a dry cloth and kept away from moisture.

How does it work?
- Email us at info@lunzo.ie with your order number and a description of the problem, and attach photographs or a video.
- We will assess it and suggest a solution. Photographs are usually enough – please do not send the goods back until you have received instructions from us.
- We will settle your claim within 30 days at the latest – with a new item, a price reduction or a refund.
If the goods need to be sent back, we will refund the postage for a valid claim (just provide the receipt).
ExchangesA different size, colour or variant
Write to us within 30 days of receipt at info@lunzo.ie with your order number and the variant you are interested in. We usually reply within 24 hours.
If the variant is available, we will send you instructions for the exchange. You pay the cost of sending the original item back; the new variant will be sent to you at no further charge.
