The lyre harp is a small string instrument that is played by plucking with fingers or a plectrum, and is manageable even for complete beginners. This lyre has 16 strings with a range of G3 to A5, sufficient for simple melodies, children's and folk songs, as well as calm improvisations. It belongs to the flat type, meaning it has a thinner and lighter body without decorative corners and a clean rounded shape. The surface is made of mahogany veneer in a light beige shade with a delicately engraved plant ornament and a motif of a stag's head. Before your first play, tune the instrument according to a tuner or an app on your phone, and carefully tighten or loosen each string with the tuning key. New strings stretch in the first few days, so it is necessary to tune them more frequently at first. Store the lyre in a dry place away from direct sunlight and heating, as wood reacts to changes in humidity and temperature. Dust the surface with a dry soft cloth. A broken string can be replaced with the included spare string.
