Levelling wedges in a pack of 100 are the second part of the tile levelling system, which works together with levelling clips. The wedge is inserted into the clip's hole and its shape presses the edges of two adjacent tiles into one plane. Each wedge measures 70 x 18 x 17 mm and is made from sturdy red plastic, which is easily visible on the floor and wall. Unlike clips, the wedges are reusable, so you can use them again after finishing one room.

The wedge has one sloped and ribbed side, ensuring it stays securely in the clip's hole and does not slip back out. The deeper you insert the wedge, the greater the force it applies to press the tiles against the base of the clip. You can insert it by hand or with levelling pliers, which allow for fine and even tightening. The wedges are suitable for clips with a hole width of 21 mm. The system of clips and wedges is particularly helpful with larger tiles, where it is easy for one edge to be higher than the other during installation. The wedges do not require any special tools, but for larger quantities of joints, the levelling pliers significantly speed up the work.

When laying tiles, first insert the base of the clip under the edge of the tile into fresh adhesive and place the adjacent tile. Then insert the wedge into the clip's hole and tighten it until the edges of both tiles are in one plane. Usually, one tile is secured by four clips with wedges, and for large formats, even more. After about 24 hours, when the adhesive has set, you can knock out the top part of the clip with a rubber mallet in the direction of the joint and remove the wedge. Before the next use, simply clean it of any adhesive residue, preferably before the adhesive on its surface dries completely. Store the wedges dry and together, so they are readily available for your next installation.
