The large metal weather vane in the shape of a high-wing sport aeroplane is a striking wind direction indicator that also serves as a decoration for a house, cottage, or garden. In size L, the aeroplane measures 32 x 28 cm, making it easily visible from a distance, for example, on the ridge of a roof or on the gable of a house. The entire figure is made of metal and features a yellow colour with a black stripe and registration number on the fuselage and wing. At the front is a black propeller that spins with every gust of wind. The aeroplane automatically aligns its nose against the airflow, reliably indicating the direction from which the wind blows.
The model is assembled from flat metal parts, which together form a three-dimensional aeroplane with wings above the fuselage, a pair of struts, a landing gear with two wheels, and tail surfaces. First, assemble the aeroplane according to the pictures and carefully tighten the screws. Then check that the propeller spins easily and that the entire aeroplane rotates freely on the mount. It works best in an elevated and open location where the wind can affect it from all sides and where it is not disturbed by surrounding trees or walls. The surface only needs occasional cleaning with a damp cloth to remove dust and pollen. After strong winds or storms, it is advisable to check that the joints and mount are still secure.
