Three metres of heat shrink tubing with adhesive, with a diameter of 6 mm, is sufficient for cable modifications and repeated repairs. The internal diameter before shrinking is 6 mm and, thanks to a shrink ratio of 4:1, the tubing shrinks down to 1.5 mm when heated. Inside, there is a layer of hot melt adhesive that melts upon heating and encases the conductor and joint. The result is an electrically insulated joint protected against moisture, corrosion, and dirt. The packaging contains 3 m of tubing, which you can cut into the required lengths.
The tubing has two layers. The outer polyolefin layer resists abrasion and protects the joint when bending the cable, while the internal adhesive hardens upon cooling and reinforces the joint. After shrinking, the wall thickness is approximately 1.1 mm, with an adhesive layer of about 0.4 mm. The material is self-extinguishing. The length of 3 m is suitable for larger projects. The diameter of 6 mm is suitable for thicker conductors, cable lugs, connectors, or bundles of several thin cables. It is applicable in cars, motorcycles, boats, caravans, during lighting installations, and in workshops.
The adhesive inside the tubing prevents water from entering the joint and gradually corroding it. This is particularly important for wiring that is outdoors or in the vehicle's undercarriage, for leads to pumps and fans, for lighting in trailers and caravans, and for electrical installations on boats and in gardens.

Slide the tubing onto the conductor before joining, and after completing the joint, move it over the centre. Heat it evenly around the circumference with a heat gun until it tightly shrinks and the adhesive oozes from the edges. The adhesive melts at temperatures from 100 °C. Direct the heat from the centre to the edges to allow air to escape from the joint. Handle the joint only after it has cooled.
The black heat shrink tubing with adhesive, with a diameter of 6 mm, is useful wherever a joint needs to be insulated and sealed. Thanks to the layer of hot melt adhesive, the joint is resistant to moisture, dust, and vibrations. Three metres provide a practical supply for automotive electrical work, motorcycles, boats, and outdoor lighting. Simply cut the pieces as needed and heat with a heat gun. The finished joint is neat, strong, and long-lasting.

If the goods need to be sent back, we will refund the postage for a valid claim (just provide the receipt).
