This heat shrink tubing with adhesive is a practical helper for anyone needing to reliably insulate and seal connections of thin wires. Thanks to a shrink ratio of 4:1, it shrinks from an original diameter of 4 mm down to 1 mm, ensuring a snug fit even on uneven joints and areas of varying thickness. The inner wall is coated with a layer of hot melt adhesive, which melts when heated and fills the gaps around the wire. The result is a strong and tight covering that protects the joint from moisture and oxidation. You will receive 1 m of tubing, from which you can cut pieces exactly as needed.

The tubing is double-walled. The outer layer made of polyolefin protects the joint from abrasion and mechanical damage, while the inner adhesive layer creates a waterproof seal and simultaneously reinforces the joint against tensile stress. After shrinking, the wall thickness is approximately 1.0 mm, of which about 0.4 mm is attributed to the adhesive. The material is self-extinguishing and provides reliable electrical insulation. The length of 1 m is suitable for minor repairs at home, in the workshop, or in the car, when you only need to address a few joints. The shorter packaging also takes up minimal space in the toolbox and is always at hand when a contact becomes loose or the insulation of a cable is damaged.

Slide the tubing onto the wire before making the connection, solder or crimp the joint, and then move it over the joint area. Heat it evenly with a hot air gun from all sides until it tightly shrinks and adhesive appears at the edges. To ensure the adhesive inside melts properly, it requires a temperature of at least 100 °C. Do not touch the tubing until it has completely cooled down, allowing the adhesive to set and the joint to remain secure.

Heat shrink tubing with adhesive with a diameter of 4 mm is suitable for insulating thin cables in automotive electronics, electronics, on boats, and for DIY projects.
