The growing LED bulb is a simple way to supplement light for plants that do not receive enough daylight indoors or in a greenhouse. Just screw it into a standard socket with an E27 base, and you can illuminate seedlings, herbs, vegetables, and flowering houseplants. A total of 200 SMD 2835 LED diodes are arranged on the circular surface, emitting a combination of red and blue light. The bulb requires no special power source or ballast. It is suitable for home growers as well as for smaller growing operations.

Of the total number of diodes, 166 are red and 34 are blue, meaning that the red component predominates in its light. Plants mainly utilise blue light during the growth of leaves and stems, while red light promotes flowering and fruiting. The bulb thus serves in various stages of growth, from seed germination through seedling growth to flowering. The diodes are positioned on a wide flat front panel, from which the light radiates at an angle of 180°, illuminating a larger area beneath the bulb. The bulb's body is made of white PC plastic, and its side features ventilation openings that allow heat from the diodes to escape.

You can use the bulb in a desk lamp, in a hanging socket above a planter, in a growing tent, or in a hydroponic system. Always switch off and allow the bulb to cool before replacing or cleaning. The front surface with the diodes should be wiped occasionally with a dry soft cloth to remove dust, ensuring that light passes through without restriction.
