Gel cushions for the front of the foot in a shell shape are designed for flip flops and sandals with a strap between the toes. They are made from soft transparent gel, which creates a pliable layer between the foot and the sole of the flip flop. The expanded shell-like shape covers the entire width of the front part of the foot and extends under the toes. At the top edge, there is a short cut-out with a small transparent holder, which fits onto the strap of the flip flop and keeps the cushion in the correct position. The entire surface is covered with small nubs, which are clearly visible even through the transparent material, making the cushion only noticeable in the flip flop upon closer inspection.
The nubs on the surface increase friction between the foot and the insole, helping to prevent the foot from slipping forward or sideways in the flip flop. The wavy-shaped bottom edge of the cushion follows the line under the balls of the foot, where the greatest pressure occurs while walking. Thanks to the small round nubs, the surface of the cushion also provides a gentle massage effect, and the foot stays in place even when it starts to sweat in the heat. The soft gel conforms to the shape of the foot and softens the impact on hard soles. The transparent design is almost invisible in footwear and suits flip flops regardless of their colour and material.

Before inserting the cushion into the flip flop, it is advisable to remove sand and dust from the insole and allow it to dry. The holder is fitted onto the strap between the toes, and the cushion is then adjusted so that the expanded part with nubs lies under the front of the foot. It is recommended to insert the cushions into both flip flops in the same way, so that the cut-out and holder align with the strap and the expanded part is always under the front of the foot. When wearing them for the first time, it is good to check the position of the cushion and adjust it slightly if necessary.
