Gel cushions for the forefoot are designed primarily for flip-flops and sandals with a strap between the toes. They are made from soft transparent gel, which is nearly invisible in footwear and pleasantly softens each step. Each cushion has an oval shape measuring 6.6 x 9.5 cm and covers the area under the balls of the toes and the forefoot. The surface is dotted with small protrusions that increase friction and prevent the foot from sliding forward or sideways in the flip-flop. The cushions simply stick to the insole and help distribute the pressure that occurs on the front of the foot when walking in flat flip-flops.
A characteristic feature is the open strap holder at the top of the cushion, which fits around the central strap of the flip-flop. The strap passes through the holder, keeping the cushion in the correct position directly under the toes, while the transparent gel separates the foot from the hard sole. This makes flip-flops more comfortable to wear even on warm days when the foot easily sweats and slips in smooth footwear. The packaging includes cushions for both the left and right foot, allowing one pair of footwear to be equipped while keeping the other pair for additional flip-flops or as a replacement. Before applying, it is advisable to clean the insole of the flip-flop from dust and dirt and allow it to dry thoroughly for better adhesion of the self-adhesive layer.
