Gel cushions for the forefoot are designed for flip flops and sandals with a strap running between the toes. They are made from soft transparent gel, which creates a flexible layer between the foot and the hard sole. At the top of each cushion, there is a longitudinal cut-out ending in a round hole through which the cushion slides onto the flip flop strap. The strap then holds the cushion in the correct position, preventing it from slipping out of the flip flop while walking. The cushion covers the area under the toes as well as the wider part under the balls of the foot, ensuring that the soft gel is exactly where the foot strikes most when walking in flat flip flops.
The smooth upper part lies under the toes, while the underside with nubs is positioned under the most pressured area of the forefoot. Small round nubs increase friction between the foot and the insert, preventing the foot from slipping forward or sideways in the flip flop, even on hot days. The cushions are marked with the letters R and L, making it easy to identify which belongs to the right and which to the left flip flop. The transparent material is discreet in footwear and matches flip flops of any colour.

Before inserting into the flip flop, it is advisable to clean the insert of dust and sand and allow it to dry thoroughly. The cushion with the cut-out is slid onto the strap between the toes so that the underside with nubs lies under the forefoot, and then it is carefully adjusted on the insert. According to the markings R and L, the cushions can be easily sorted into right and left sides, preventing any mix-up during application. It is a good idea to try them out with a short walk and adjust the position of the cushion gently if necessary.
