Gateron G Pro 3.0 Yellow linear switches are designed for mechanical keyboards where you want a smooth action without a tactile bump and without a click. The yellow variant features a medium stiff action with an operating force of 50 ± 15 gf and a bottoming force of 67 gf, making the key a bit stiffer than the red switches, yet still easy to press. The switches have 3 pins and a cross stem of the MX type, which fits most standard keycaps. The pack contains 10 switches, which is handy for testing the medium stiff linear action or for replacing several of the most used keys, such as the spacebar or the WASD keys.
The third generation G Pro introduces reinforced pins that are more resistant to bending without increasing their thickness. The top housing is transparent and, according to the manufacturer, better focuses light, making the switches suitable for keyboards with SMD RGB backlighting and the light diffuses more evenly under the key compared to the previous version 2.0. The switches are factory lubed, so the action is smooth right out of the box and no further modifications are necessary. The pre-travel distance is 2.0 ± 0.6 mm, total travel distance is up to 4.0 mm, and the spring length is 15.4 mm.

Before replacement, ensure that the keyboard has hot-swap sockets with holes for the switch pins, as they are not compatible with switch sockets of the clip type. Before inserting, check that the pins are straight, and insert the switch perpendicularly and without excessive force to avoid bending the pins. A switch puller, which is not included in the package, is useful for removing the original switches from a hot-swap keyboard.
Gateron G Pro 3.0 Yellow switches are particularly appreciated by those looking for a balanced linear action between lighter and stiffer switches. The slightly higher operating force reduces unwanted presses while typing and gaming, and the smooth action without a tactile bump allows for rapid repeated presses. If the goods need to be sent back, we will refund the postage for a valid claim (just provide the receipt).
