Gateron G Pro 3.0 White linear switches are designed for mechanical keyboards where you want smooth actuation without a tactile bump and without a click. The white variant is among the lightest switches in the G Pro 3.0 series, with an actuation force of 38 ± 15 gf and a bottom-out force of 45 gf, allowing the key to be pressed with minimal effort, reducing finger fatigue during extended typing. The switches feature 3 pins and a cross stem of the MX type, which fits most standard keycaps. The pack contains 10 switches, ideal for testing the light linear actuation or replacing some of the most frequently used keys, such as the spacebar, Enter key, or WASD keys.

The third generation G Pro introduces reinforced pins that are more resistant to bending without increasing their thickness. The upper housing is transparent and, according to the manufacturer, better focuses the light, making the switches suitable for keyboards with SMD RGB backlighting, allowing the light to be distributed more evenly under the key compared to the previous version 2.0. The switches are factory lubricated, providing a smooth action right out of the box without the need for further modification. The pre-travel distance is 2.0 ± 0.6 mm, the total travel distance is up to 4.0 mm, and the spring length is 20 mm.

Before replacement, ensure that the keyboard has hot-swap sockets with holes for the switch pins; they are not compatible with socket types that use switch clips. Before inserting, check that the pins are straight, and insert the switch vertically and without excessive force to avoid bending the pins. A switch puller, which is not included in the package, is useful for removing the original switches from a hot-swap keyboard.

Gateron G Pro 3.0 White switches will be appreciated mainly by those who prefer a light press and spend a lot of time at the keyboard. The low actuation force means that the key responds to a light touch, and the light linear action without a tactile bump is smooth from the beginning to the end of the travel. Lighter switches are also suitable for those whose fingers tire quickly on stiffer keys. The smaller pack is practical if you want to first try the white switches on a few keys before deciding whether to outfit the entire keyboard with them. They are also suitable as replacements for several damaged or non-functional switches of the same type. Thanks to the factory lubrication and transparent housing, the switches are ready for use right out of the box and shine well even with backlighting.
