Gateron G Pro 3.0 Silver linear switches are designed for mechanical keyboards where you desire smooth operation without a tactile bump or click, while also achieving the fastest actuation possible. The Silver variant features a shortened actuation of 1.2 ± 0.6 mm and an operating force of 45 ± 15 gf with an end force of 50 gf, allowing the key to actuate with a brief and light press. The switches have 3 pins and an MX type cross stem, compatible with most standard keycaps. The package contains 110 switches, sufficient for equipping a full-sized keyboard with a 100% layout, including the numeric section, which consists of 104 to 108 keys.
The third generation G Pro introduces reinforced pins that are more resistant to bending without increasing their thickness. The upper housing is transparent and, according to the manufacturer, better concentrates light, making the switches suitable for keyboards with SMD RGB backlighting and allowing the light to diffuse more evenly under the key compared to the previous version 2.0. The switches are factory lubricated, providing a smooth feel right out of the box without the need for further modifications. The actuation is 1.2 ± 0.6 mm, with a total travel of up to 3.4 mm and a spring length of 22 mm.

Before replacing, ensure that the keyboard has hot-swap sockets with pin holes for the switches, as it is not compatible with socket types that require switch clips. Before insertion, check that the pins are straight, and insert the switch perpendicularly and without excessive force to avoid bending the pins. A switch puller, which is not included in the package, is useful for removing the original switches from a hot-swap keyboard.
Gateron G Pro 3.0 Silver switches are particularly appreciated by those who seek quick keyboard response for both gaming and typing. An actuation of just 1.2 mm means that the key actuates sooner than with switches that have a 2.0 mm actuation, and the fast linear action without a tactile bump allows for very rapid repeated presses. The shorter total travel of up to 3.4 mm also reduces finger movement with each press. The set of 110 pieces is sufficient for a complete outfitting of a full-sized keyboard with a numeric section, leaving several switches as a spare in case of damage.
