Gateron G Pro 3.0 Red linear switches are designed for mechanical keyboards where you desire smooth operation without a tactile bump and without a click. The red variant has a lighter actuation force in the G Pro 3.0 series of 45 ± 15 gf and a bottom-out force of 50 gf, making the key easy to press and reducing finger fatigue even during prolonged typing. The switches feature 3 pins and an MX-style cross stem, compatible with most standard keycaps. The package contains 30 switches, sufficient for equipping a smaller macro keyboard or numeric keypad, or for replacing the gaming portion of a keyboard.

The third generation G Pro introduces reinforced pins that are more resistant to bending without increasing their thickness. The upper housing is transparent and, according to the manufacturer, better focuses light, making the switches suitable for keyboards with SMD RGB backlighting and allowing light to diffuse more evenly under the key compared to the previous version 2.0. The switches are factory lubed, ensuring smooth operation right out of the box without the need for additional modifications. The pre-travel distance is 2.0 ± 0.6 mm, with a total travel distance of up to 4.0 mm, and the spring length is 20.5 mm.

Before replacement, ensure that the keyboard has hot-swap sockets with pin holes for the switch pins, as they are not compatible with socket types that use clips. Before inserting, check that the pins are straight, and insert the switch perpendicularly and without excessive force to avoid bending the pins. A switch puller, which is not included in the package, is useful for removing the original switches from a hot-swap keyboard.

Gateron G Pro 3.0 Red switches are particularly appreciated by those who prefer a light linear action and want the key to respond with minimal effort.
