The Gateron G Pro 3.0 Red linear switches are designed for mechanical keyboards where you want a smooth action without a tactile bump and without a click. The red variant features a lighter action in the G Pro 3.0 series with an operating force of 45 ± 15 gf and a bottoming force of 50 gf, making the key easy to press, and your fingers won't tire as much even during prolonged typing. The switches have 3 pins and an MX type cross stem, which fits most standard keycaps. The pack contains 10 switches, making it suitable for trying out the light linear action or for replacing several of the most stressed keys, such as the spacebar or the WASD keys.

The third generation G Pro features reinforced pins that are more resistant to bending, without increasing their thickness. The upper housing is transparent and, according to the manufacturer, better focuses the light, making the switches suitable for keyboards with SMD RGB backlighting, and the light diffuses more evenly under the key than in the previous version 2.0. The switches are factory lubricated, so the action is smooth right out of the box and there is no need for further modification. The pre-travel is 2.0 ± 0.6 mm, the total travel is up to 4.0 mm, and the spring length is 20.5 mm.

Before replacement, ensure that your keyboard has hot-swap sockets with holes for the switch pins, as the switches are not compatible with socket types that are not hot-swap. Before inserting, check that the pins are straight, and insert the switch vertically and without excessive force to prevent bending the pins. A switch puller, which is not included in the package, is useful for removing the original switches from a hot-swap keyboard.

The Gateron G Pro 3.0 Red switches will be appreciated by those who enjoy a light linear action and want the key to respond with minimal effort. The lower operating force saves your fingers during long typing sessions, and the smooth action without a tactile bump allows for rapid repeated presses during gaming.
