Gateron G Pro 3.0 Brown tactile switches are designed for mechanical keyboards where you want to feel a tactile bump upon pressing, but do not want a loud click. The brown variant features a medium resistance with an operating force of 55 ± 15 gf, ensuring that the key does not feel too light or too heavy. The switches have 3 pins and a cross-shaped MX stem, compatible with most standard keycaps. The package contains 70 switches, sufficient for equipping an entire keyboard with a 60 % or 65 % layout, approximately 61 to 68 keys.
The third generation G Pro introduces reinforced pins that are more resistant to bending without increasing their thickness. The top housing is transparent and, according to the manufacturer, better focuses the light, making the switches suitable for keyboards with SMD RGB backlighting, allowing the light to disperse more evenly under the key compared to the previous version 2.0. The switches are factory lubricated, providing a smooth action right out of the box without the need for additional modification. The pre-travel distance is 2.0 ± 0.6 mm, with a total travel distance of up to 4.0 mm, and the spring length is 20.5 mm.

Before replacement, ensure that the keyboard has hot-swap sockets with pin holes for the switches, as they are not compatible with socket types that use switch clips. Before inserting, check that the pins are straight, and insert the switch vertically and without excessive force to avoid bending the pins. A switch puller, which is not included in the package, is useful for removing the original switches from a hot-swap keyboard.
Gateron G Pro 3.0 Brown switches are particularly appreciated by those who type a lot and want clear feedback that a key has been pressed. The tactile bump during the travel helps to recognise the actuation point, meaning the key does not need to be bottomed out, and the tactile action remains quieter than that of clicky switches. If the goods need to be sent back, we will refund the postage for a valid claim (just provide the receipt).
