The Gateron G Pro 3.0 Brown tactile switches are designed for mechanical keyboards where you want to feel a tactile bump upon pressing but do not want a loud click. The brown variant features a medium resistance with an actuation force of 55 ± 15 gf, making the key feel neither too light nor too heavy. The switches have 3 pins and an MX-style cross stem, compatible with most standard keycaps. The pack contains 10 switches, making it suitable for testing the tactile feel or for replacing a few of the most frequently used keys, such as the spacebar, Enter key, or WASD keys.
The third generation G Pro introduces reinforced pins that are more resistant to bending without increasing their thickness. The top housing is transparent and, according to the manufacturer, better focuses light, making the switches suitable for keyboards with SMD RGB backlighting, and the light disperses more evenly under the key compared to the previous version 2.0. The switches are factory lubed, providing a smooth operation right out of the box, and no further adjustments are necessary. The pre-travel distance is 2.0 ± 0.6 mm, with a total travel distance of up to 4.0 mm, and the spring length is 20.5 mm.

Before replacing, ensure that your keyboard has hot-swap sockets with holes for the switch pins, as they are not compatible with socket types that use clamps. Before inserting, check that the pins are straight, and insert the switch perpendicularly and without excessive force to avoid bending the pins. A switch puller, which is not included in the package, is useful for removing the original switches from a hot-swap keyboard.
The Gateron G Pro 3.0 Brown switches are particularly appreciated by those who type a lot and want clear feedback that a key has been pressed. The tactile bump during the travel helps to recognise the moment of actuation, so the key does not need to be bottomed out, and the tactile feel remains quieter than that of clicky switches. The smaller pack is practical if you want to first try the brown switches on a few keys before deciding whether to outfit the entire keyboard with them. They are also suitable as replacements for a few damaged or non-functional switches of the same type. Thanks to the factory lubrication and transparent housing, the switches are ready to use immediately after unpacking and look great even with backlighting.

If the goods need to be sent back, we will refund the postage for a valid claim (just provide the receipt).
