Gateron G Pro 3.0 Black linear switches are designed for mechanical keyboards where you desire a smooth operation without a tactile bump and without a click. The black variant is among the stiffest linear switches in the G Pro 3.0 series, with an operating force of 60 ± 15 gf and an end force of 70 gf, providing noticeable resistance and better finger grip. The switches feature 3 pins and an MX type cross stem, compatible with most standard keycaps. The package includes 90 switches, sufficient for equipping a full TKL keyboard without a numeric section (87 keys) or a keyboard with a 75% layout, which has around 84 keys.
The third generation of G Pro introduces reinforced pins that are more resistant to bending without increasing their thickness. The top housing is transparent and, according to the manufacturer, better focuses light, making the switches suitable for keyboards with SMD RGB backlighting, and the light diffuses more evenly under the key compared to the previous version 2.0. The switches are factory lubed, ensuring a smooth operation right out of the box without the need for additional modifications. The pre-travel is 2.0 ± 0.6 mm, the total travel is up to 4.0 mm, and the spring length is 15.4 mm.

Before replacement, ensure that the keyboard has hot-swap sockets with pin holes for the switch pins, as it is not compatible with socket types that use switch clips. Before inserting, check that the pins are straight, and insert the switch perpendicularly and without excessive force to avoid bending the pins. A switch puller, not included in the package, is useful for removing the original switches from a hot-swap keyboard.
Gateron G Pro 3.0 Black switches are especially appreciated by those who prefer a firmer linear feel and do not want the key to respond to a light touch of the finger. The higher operating force helps limit accidental presses while typing or gaming, and the smooth operation without a tactile bump allows for rapid repeated presses. If the goods need to be sent back, we will refund the postage for a valid claim (just provide the receipt).
